Create a playful new home for your plants this Earth Day! In this fun, hands-on pottery workshop, you’ll create a playful planter inspired by the iconic LEGO head.

This hands on experience is perfect for beginners and seasoned artists alike. No experience needed—just bring your imagination!

Please arrive early to grab a bevie and get settled in before we have some muddy fun!

What to expect:

In this hands-on pottery workshop, you’ll learn the ancient pinch pot handbuilding method, transforming a simple ball of clay into a pot shaped like the iconic LEGO head. With up to 2 hours you have plenty of time to create and decorate the LEGO character of your dreams!

After forming your planter, you’ll apply that iconic yellow as an underglaze and add or define facial details. Once finished, your planter will be ready for your favorite plant—using greenery as the “hair” to bring your LEGO creation to life in a whole new way.

What happens after?

After the workshop, your project will head back to SAS Studios to completely dry out before going in the kiln. The entire process generally takes about 4 weeks to be completed, depending on the season and the clay used. The time frame will be confirmed at the workshop.

Once completed your planter will be wrapped up and return to Birdsong in a bag with your name on it! You will receive an email notification your piece is ready for pick up! *Please  pick up your piece in a timely manner or advise if you cannot so arrangements can be made.
