Put down your phone, pick up some clay, and discover the joy of creating something thoughtfully crafted and uniquely yours.

In this beginner-friendly workshop, you’ll transform a simple ball of clay into a one-of-a-kind ceramic tumbler using the pinch pot hand-building method—one of the oldest techniques in ceramics. Over the course of 90 creative minutes, you’ll shape, sculpt, and personalize your piece with design elements that reflect your individual style.

More than just a tumbler, this versatile vessel can become your morning coffee cup, evening tea (or wine!) companion, a planter for a favorite succulent, a jewelry holder, or whatever inspires you that day. Functional, beautiful, and completely handmade by you, it’s a piece you’ll reach for again and again. Best of all, it will be microwave and dishwasher safe.

No experience is needed—just come ready to slow down, get creative and discover the magic of turning earth into art.

Arrive a little early to claim your seat, grab your favorite Birdsong brew, and settle in before we get our hands dirty.

What happens after?

After the workshop, your project will head back to SAS Studios to completely dry out before going in the kiln. After it is bisque fired, Stefanie will glaze your pint in a white glaze then send it back in the kiln to be complete! The entire process generally takes about 4 weeks.

Once completed your functional piece will be wrapped up and return to Birdsong in a bag with your name on it! You will receive an email notification that the time has come for project pick up!
